My family and Bintou's family will never forget the irrepressible smile on her face and the unmistakable look of pride when she discovered the book ‘Bintou's Braids’. Last night I read it aloud for the first time to Bintou, surrounded by family. Soon the day will come when Bintou will read-aloud "her" story to us. I’d recommend this marvelous book in any language. I know it will touch many hearts, for your name need not be Bintou, to deeply relate to this well crafted narrative, a true work of art.This experience is a perfect example of how reading to children is truly a gift for everyone to enjoy. Books are clearly capable of awakening our dreams and our imagination.
A minha família e a família de "nossa" Bintou nunca vai esquecer o sorriso irresistível no rosto e olhar inconfundível de orgulho quando ela descobriu o livro ‘Tranças de Bintou’. Na noite passada eu li o livro em voz alta pela primeira vez para Bintou, rodeado pela família. Logo o dia chegará quando Bintou vai ler em voz alta "sua" história para nós. Eu recomendo pra todos esse livro maravilhoso. Eu se que as ‘Trancas de Bintou’ vai tocar muitos corações, pois seu nome não precisa ser Bintou, para relacionar profundamente com essa narrativa tão bem feita, uma obra verdadeira. Esta experiência é um exemplo de como os livros som capaces de despertar os nossos sonhos e a nossa imaginacâo.
